Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) form a legal agreement between you and SoftSpot (“SoftSpot”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) governing your access to and use of the SoftSpot mobile application and related services (the “App”). By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. License

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, reverse engineer, or attempt to extract the source code of the App except where permitted by law.

3. Accounts and Partner Connection

• You are responsible for the information you provide and for keeping your account credentials secure.
• You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your region to use the App.
• When you connect with a partner using an invite code or link, shared content becomes visible to both of you. Only connect with someone you trust.
• You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account.

4. Subscriptions and Auto-Renewal

SoftSpot offers premium features through auto-renewable subscriptions. Pricing is shown in the App before purchase.

• Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
• Your subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period, at the rate of your selected plan.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription, and turn off auto-renewal, in your Apple ID Account Settings after purchase.
• Any unused portion of a free trial period, where offered, is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.

5. Refunds

Purchases are processed by Apple. Refund requests are handled by Apple in accordance with the App Store terms. We do not directly process payments or issue refunds for App Store purchases.

6. Acceptable Use

• Do not use the App for any unlawful, harmful, or abusive purpose.
• Do not attempt to disrupt, compromise, or gain unauthorized access to the App or its systems.
• Do not upload content that infringes the rights of others or violates applicable law.
• Do not misuse the partner connection feature to harass, monitor, or harm another person.

7. AI Coach

The AI relationship coach provides general, automated guidance based on the prompts you send. It is not professional, medical, legal, or therapeutic advice, and it is not a substitute for a qualified professional. Do not rely on it for decisions that require professional judgment, and do not share information you would not want processed by an automated service.

8. Your Content

You retain ownership of the content you create in the App, such as events, expenses, goals, and check-ins. You grant us a limited license to host, store, and process that content solely to operate and provide the App to you and your connected partner.

9. Disclaimers

The App is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SoftSpot will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the App.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App if you violate these Terms or use the App in a way that could cause harm or legal liability. You may stop using the App at any time and request deletion of your account.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
